Domestically its existing social order and traditional values were being re-examined, and an era \nof world-historic imperialism saw a struggle for self-determination and national identity. Korean children's literature is representative of this era.\nThis paper explores the ‘footprints’ and achievements of Bang Jeong-hwan mainly through field reconnaissance in Korea as part of the study of the establishment of Korean children's literature. The exploration of historical sites related to Bang Jeong-hwan and the Japanese translation of the inscriptions engraved on them are presented for the first time in this article.
