 note = {Modern Korean children's literature began from Bang Jeong-hwan's study abroad in Tokyo. However, his staying in Tokyo was not aimed at children’s literature from the beginning. He arrived as a correspondent of the comprehensive magazine “Gae-Byok” just published at the time. He started not only activities as a correspondent reporter but also the Youth Association of Chondogyo Tokyo Branch and fulfilled the heavy responsibility as the first president. “Gae-Byok” was also a magazine representative of the Korean literary at that time, but also a magazine of the Chondogyo. Bang  Jeong-hwan's study abroad was impossible without Chondogyo's support. The existence of Chondogyo at the starting point of Korean children's literature was very important.},
